KID ministry

At HFCOG Kid Ministry, we’re passionate about partnering with parents and caregivers as we invest in the lives of their kids. Kids will experience fun and age-specific foundational faith programming in a safe and nurturing environment from our committed team.
Sunday School is offered for kids, Birth through 4th Grade, at 10:30 on Sunday mornings.
We would love to meet and assist your family at Kids Check-In in the Atrium.

In addition to Sunday mornings, we offer age-specific programming all throughout the year.
Please visit our calendar for programming and other events at HFCOG.

We use the reThink Group’s Orange curriculum for preschool and elementary ages. We believe in using a curriculum that not only serves our weekly programming, but also comes alongside families at home. Orange offers solid Biblical teachings that are met with fun and engaging activities, worship, Bible stories, and excellent parenting resources.
You can learning more about Orange here.
More than just nursery or toddler class, Wonder Way begins to lay the foundation with our children that God loves them. Wonder Way provides ministry to the youngest of our congregation beginning with Nursery, 2’s, 3’s & 4 year olds. The many volunteers and ministry team members are committed to providing ministry to both these little ones and their parents.

Our goal is to build on the child’s natural sense of wonder based on Psalm 119:18 “Open my eyes that I can see the wonderful truths.” During these early years of learning each child wonders about God and this new relationship they have with Him. As leaders and parents we come alongside each child to begin the journey with Jesus.

At Wonder Way we want preschoolers to take a first look at who God is and understand three basic truths:

1. God made me.
2. God loves me.
3. Jesus wants to be my friend forever.
252 Main street is our ministry to elementary children grades K-4. It focuses on teaching the children biblical virtues that they might grow “in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God” (Luke 2:52).

252 Main street takes place at 10:30 on Sunday mornings. It is a unique approach to teaching that is built around three basic truths:

1. I need to make wise choices.
2. I can trust God no matter what.
3. I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

Each basic truth is amplified by a monthly key virtue and systematically taught over a three year track.
Discovery Place is our special needs ministry. We provide opportunities for mentally and physically challenged friends to be involved with a group of their peers with whom they can identify and to whom they can relate. We provide a unique opportunity for these individuals to learn how God loves each one of us and how important we are as children of God. In doing so, this also allows the caregivers to become more involved in the church and to further their own spiritual growth.
First-time Families
WE CAN’T WAIT TO MEET YOU!

We hope HFCOG will be a place where you and your family can grow in your faith and build friendships. Upon your first visit, please visit the Hub inside the church doors to meet our Hub team. Your family will then be guided to the Kid Check-In counter, where our team will get your child checked in and give you a tour of the Kid Ministry areas. Our goal is to make you and your child feel at home, so please don’t hesitate to ask questions.

You can save time when you arrive by pre-registering.
About Our Team
OUR KID MINISTRY TEAM MAKES A DIFFERENCE!

Without our amazing volunteer team, HFCOG Kids Ministry would not be possible. Each week, our team greets families, holds and loves on babies, worships, shares Bibles stories, leads small groups and so much more with kids! We have a great behind the scenes team that ensures all programming prep is completed to make each week successful. All of this is done with the goal of serving God, and showing His love to kids and their families!

To ensure the safety of kids and our team, each adult team member is required to complete all the required PA State Clearances, as well as those required by HFCOG.
